For insight on how Portland, Oregon took the top spot, 12 factors were used to determine this country’s coffee giant cities. The criteria ranges from the share of households that own coffee makers and the sheer number of coffee shops, cafes, and coffee houses per capita to the aforementioned average price of a cappuccino. As an added bonus for digital nomads, the study ranked cities by the number of coffee shops with wifi per capita, where Portland came in at number nine.
